Gold Rated Certification

The Gold Rated Certification, awarded by organizations such as the Leather Working Group (LWG), evaluates compliance with good environmental, social, and management practices in the leather industry. This distinction represents one of the highest levels of recognition, focusing on aspects such as responsible water use, waste management, traceability, and transparency in the supply chain.

Lecom SA has achieved Gold Rated status thanks to its commitment to sustainability, responsible production, and respect for the environment. This certification guarantees its customers that the leather tanning and manufacturing processes are carried out under strict environmental and ethical standards.

ISO 9001 Certification

ISO 9001 Certification is an international standard that establishes the requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Its main objective is to guarantee continuous process improvement, increase customer satisfaction, and ensure the consistent delivery of products and services that meet legal and customer requirements.

Lecom SA has implemented a quality management system based on ISO 9001, reflecting its commitment to efficiency, traceability, and continuous improvement in all its processes. This certification confirms that the company operates under international quality standards, strengthening the trust of its customers and business partners.

Halal Certification

Halal Certification ensures that the products marketed by a company follow the specific rules of Sharia, the system of Islamic law based on the Quran and Hadith. Certification agencies investigate organizations to determine whether their ingredients, suppliers, and factories comply with these rules.

The word “Halal” comes from the Arabic “حلال‎‎” (ḥalāl), meaning “lawful” or “permissible.” It is found in the Quran in contrast to the word “Haram” (“حرام”), which means “forbidden.”

In the case of food, the Islamic holy book stipulates that ingredients derived from humans, pigs, and insects (except locusts), as well as animals that have not been slaughtered according to Islamic rites, should not be consumed.

Lecom SA ensures that the leather from its meatpacking plants is Halal-certified for the processing of gelatin for human consumption, which is why it has achieved and maintained Halal certification for the processing of rawhide.
